While Solstice is now live with a slew of new and returning weapons, on top of the 2019 set making a return, the main focus for this TLDR will be on updates from the D2 Dev Team. Update From the D2 Dev Team
The team has informed us that since launch, they've been working hard to address issues raised by the community. On top of that, they've also made known what they're doing and planning behind the scenes. What They're Doing
Restoring colour to the World Tab, which will continue to live alongside The Portal as part of exploration
A fix for the reward preview being lower than the actual rewards granted when in mixed fireteams
Kepler Mythic difficulty to be adjusted to make it more accessible for solo play
Baseline raid and dungeon difficulty will be adjusted down, and higher Tiers are being made more accessible. When Contest is active, it will bump the Tier further
Restoring an infinite source for Bright Dust with an Objective based system in 9.5.0, and an earlier grant to make up for the missing source
9.1.0 will have more than the above, including new activities and rewards in both EoF and Core Game
What They're Planning
The devs have been hard at work and have been listening to the communities feedback over the past 3 weeks, so here is a focused list in several areas;
Power Progression; it's their most important topic right now and they're still identifying adjustments to make. They aware it's clearly slower than what they wanted it to be, so the plan is to increase the speed for most players
Portal Rewards Balance; plan is to adjust it up and down to make more activities feel evenly rewarding. Fireteam Ops is currently feeling too low and the team's working on making it viable when playing with friends
Crucible Ops is getting close attention, with the team looking to raise rewards at lower ranks and increasing the drop rates for Comp exclusive weapons
Raids have good baseline for weapons and armour, but drops are not high enough in Tier on top of not enough of it drops for time investment. The team is planning on improving both rates in a future update.
The Portal
This week sees the addition for GM difficulty to Fireteam ops. Required Power access is 340, so make sure you bring a good build and work with your team! Next week, the portal will get another update of Accelerator: Score Multiplier, which increases the challenge multiplier, making it easier to gain higher reward scores. Here's an updated calendar for the coming weeks! Weeks of August 5th - 19th
