This next part in the TWID TLDR will be going over Power in The Edge of Fate, alongside Vendor changes besides the already announced bounties that will be leaving the game come July 15th. Again, if there's anything missed or there's still any left over confusion, please feel free to comment on the post or submit a form! Refreshing Power

The first thing that will be noticed when you first log in on launch day is the Power refresh, with everyone starting at Power level 10. Legacy Power will be visible when you hover over your Power number is you're one of those who want to know what your Power would be in the old system.

The Power Band

With this new Power Band (which is from 10 to 200), it will still was as it always have when you're playing up until the Soft Cap. Progress will be seen when you find gear across the game, playlists you play the most, and your favourite destinations, alongside completing missions and opening chests in the Fate Saga. These activities won't ask you to earn more than 200 Power to play at max, but they may have a chance to offer rewards beyond 200 when at a harder difficulty.

You'll be earning Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 drops while you climb power. This gear is as strong the current gear you have or even Adept weapons from before EoF launch. Progress up to the Power Cap will stick around into the new season when Renegades releases in December, which gives you constant access to gear as strong or if not stronger than what you're used to.

Seasonal Bonus Power

Instead of what Seasonal Bonus Power has been since Shadowkeep (driven by XP and bounty stacking), it will be right on your gear instead of on the Seasonal Artifact. When completing harder challenges in PvE or challenging yourself in Comp or Trials, you will earn gear in greater amounts of Seasonal Bonus Power that will increase your power beyond the cap. This won't be limited to weekly rotations on how much Power you can progress, you can climb for as long as you're willing to play. Much like the Artifacts before, this will still be limited to the current season, with any gear above the cap starting back to 200 power at the start of the next season.

Bonus Power and Rewards

When increasing your Power level further with Seasonal Bonus Power, you'll be able to earn higher tiers of gear that have greater benefits - as mentioned in previous blogs at to what that gear will look like. You'll be able to increase your Power as much as a total of 450, with earning high enough grades from Portal activities giving constant growth to 400. How you may ask? Prime Engrams have been fully upgraded to reward you with both higher Power and higher Gear Tiers than your regular rewards, with a total Power of 400 to 450. Achieving higher grades in Portal activities improves your chances of finding these Prime Engrams which are no longer on a weekly rotation. All of this will apply when the Ash and Iron update releases, going from 400/450 to 500/550 Power levels.

Infusion

Infusion has been simplified, with the removal of Upgrade Modules in favour of Enhancement Cores. Any Upgrade mods that you have can safely dismantled for 5000 Glimmer and 1 Enhancement Core. In terms of Seasonal Bonus Power, you'll be infusing gear with Unstable Cores, which drop from dismantled gear that has Seasonal Power levels. Unstable Cores will have a large inventory cap and will also be refreshed at the start of each Season.

Economy Updates in The Edge of Fate

When it comes to sources of Glimmer, Strange Coins, and Masterwork materials, Core Game activities like Solo Ops, Fireteam Ops, Pinnacle Ops, Crucible, and Trials will be your main hub. These will scale alongside your gear, with even better rewards dropping from higher difficulty activities.

Armor Masterworking

When Edge of Fate releases on the 15th, Armor 3.0 masterworking will drastically change in price. This is mostly with a focus in increasing stats, with Armor dropping with energy completely filled in so you can buildcraft off the rip. Here's some charts provided so you have a better understanding:
