The Devs went to touch on the feedback and conversation about the Portal and it's rewards! Here's the lowdown:


The following changes are being made immediately:


  • Planned reductions to Power in a given grade within Solo Ops have been reverted

  • Planned reductions of engrams earned in Encore, Starcrossed, and Whisper have been reverted

  • The planned change for Prime Engrams requiring you to go to Rahool to decrypt has been reverted


Buffs - Fireteam Ops

  • 9.0.0.8 (8/26)

    • Increased matchmade Fireteam Ops time limits across the board

      • Expert +25%

      • Master +50%

      • Grandmaster +75%

  • Ash & Iron

    • Increase in the number of drops for Liminality, Inverted Spire, and Onslaught: Widows Court

    • Activity timers have been rebalanced for Solo, Pinnacle, and Fireteam ops. Fireteam Ops will have a greater value for speed versus killing all enemies

    • NEW: Increase the number of drops for more activities in Fireteam Ops

    • NEW: Removing unpopular mods like Grappler in Fireteam Ops matchmaking pool while still keeping it within customization


Buffs - Portal Rewards

  • Chance of Prime Engram drop per completion reward

    • Activities like Liminality and Inverted Spire that have more base completion rewards will have more of a chance for Prime Engrams to drop

  • NEW: Team is working on creating a more consistent Power reward experience for the upper Power climb (In Ash & Iron, this will be 500-550)


More Buffs

  • The Desert Perpetual

    • Weekly challenges added

    • Improved gear tier drops

    • Gear attunement added

  • Portal

    • Time bonus eared will grant 5% minimum score if you make the timer

    • Your account highest Power will be used for reward score rather than your equipped Power. You won't need to wear your highest Power gear to get the highest score possible

    • Conquests will be replayable


Class Fantasy in Destiny


This is mostly to go over a deeper dive in class identity, especially for our newer players that want a better idea on what they'll be getting with the class they choose. Let's dive in! Warlocks

Warlocks are meant to be spellcasters. Focused on three key things; battlefield control, arcane abilities, and ally empowerment. This means there are plans for more ability uptime like the Empowering Rift change coming to Ash & Iron.


General


  • Following Warlock turrets will now count as grenades for stats and perks

    • Ionic Sentry

    • Arc Soul

    • Hellion

    • Bleak Watcher

    • Child of the Old Gods

  • Empower Rift

    • Will now generate neutral-game ability over time

    • Kills while standing in said rift will now go towards bonus ammo progress

      • +15% for Special weapons

      • +10% for Heavy weapons


Titan

Titans are the brutes of the group, what they lack in speed and knowledge they make up in strength, focusing on three key elements; aggressive assault, damage mitigation, and artillery. Here's a few upcoming changes coming to Titans:


  • Howl of the Storm (Stasis Aspect)

    • Will grant two melee charges

    • Stasis Crystal spawn pattern has been changed, with 4 more crystals added

  • Bastion (Void Aspect)

    • Will now have a faster cooldown in PvE


Hunter

Hunters are the designated rogues of the group, focusing on three key elements; Attack precision, infiltration, and damage avoidance. As of right now, the following changes will give Gunslinger an update, with Nightstalker having their feedback addressed in the future. Here's the upcoming changes:


  • On Your Mark (Solar Aspect)

    • Stacks now give Weapons stat instead of weapon handling and reload

      • Max of 40 weapons at 10 stacks

    • Rescaled stack count to a max of 10 stacks

    • Precision hits now give one stack, with precision final bows giving 2 stacks

    • Precision final blows at 10 stacks now Cure you instead of Radiant

  • Golden Gun: Deadshot (Solar Super)

    • Refunds ammo on Golden Gun final blows instead of Ignitions

    • Now extends super duration on Golden Gun final blows

      • Duration diminishes with final blows, grants less in Crucible

  • Marksman's Dodge (Class Ability)

    • Now reloads all weapons on activation

    • Now picks up nearby ammo bricks on activation
