Low Sodium Blog Update

Hello Guardians! We're sure you've been painfully aware that updates to the blog have stopped completely earlier this year. The drive and motivation earlier in the year weren't where we wanted them to be, especially with us left wondering what was going on with the future of Destiny. Unfortunately, on June 9th we learned that Destiny 2 was to receive its last content update. Thankfully, as of September 21, 2026, that's no longer the case. Destiny as a franchise has a future. Since then, we've learned that campaigns, raids, and destinations currently in the Destiny Content Vault, and will be getting more communications before the end of October about what the future of Destiny could look like. It's been an amazing week in terms of hearing from Bungie, and it's been a great start for this new leadership team. So, what does this mean for the blog? This blog is meant to be a toolbox for new and returning Guardians, providing additional information to figure out how Destiny works and what to do, in addition to easy to understand TLDRs from TWIDs (This Week in Destiny). Because there's a shift in communication with Bungie in terms of giving us updated information that they can provide, TWIDs are now up in the air and we're unsure of when they're making a return. However, that's not to say we won't cut our own communications. Our promise to get that information readily available and easily accessed to our readers has not changed. As such, past TWID TLDRs have been archived, and will be moving forward to matching how Bungie wants to provide their own blogs; when they're readily available. This means less stress for us each week and more freedom on when we release our own blog posts. We have a few ideas in mind, such as creating a few posts about The Unvaulting (as a few of our community members have dubbed it). Alongside that, we'll be creating a post for new and returning players that features all the information necessary in regards to the new systems currently within Destiny 2. We want to be apart of this future of Destiny with you all, and we're looking forward to what Bungie has to say about the franchise. - The Low Sodium Blog Team
